Community Dinners believes the best way to create and foster community is with warm food around tables in friendship, laughter and conversations. Community Dinners is a part of a rich tradition that spans across our city with locations meeting almost every night of the week in churches, community centers, parks and even parking garages. Every Wednesday we invite all of our Fremont/Ballard neighbors to the table. This experience is hosted by Quest Church in partnership with other Fremont and Ballard churches, non-profits and individuals who have a heart to see people engage with the love of Jesus at the dinner table.
These dinners primarily serve three demographics: anyone (housed or unhoused) who falls below the poverty line, marginalized communes, and isolated populations. BUT all are welcome and one of the most beautiful things about these dinners is the opportunity to connect and be together.
If you would like to volunteer to serve at Community Dinners, you will have the opportunity to serve alongside and build connections with others in the neighborhood while living out our values of justice and compassion. Volunteer slots go from 4-6:30pm to accommodate set-up, volunteer orientation, eating together and closing down. But really, it is our gift as volunteers to sit with and enjoy the meal with our neighbors! SIGN UP TO SERVE.
